~ Summer Watering ~
Beginning April 1, Plano residents and businesses returned to the summer watering schedule of two day a week sprinkler use. It is best not to water with sprinklers between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. as these are the hottest hours of the day. Just because it is your day to water doesn't mean you need to water. Residents can get guidance on when watering is needed with the Water My Yard website or by simply not watering when rain has just occurred or is expected.

Odd addresses may water on Tuesday and Friday, even addresses may water Monday and Thursday. The city of Plano has posted general information on watering here. You can get a watering calendar here. Watering violations can be reported to Fix It Plano.

Newly installed landscapes may be granted a 30-day water variance upon approval. Variances are not required for filling pools/spas. Instructions are available at plano.gov/variances.
